Nutshell kept ice frozen for more than 48 hours in their tests. There are many variables that affect ice retention including contents of the cooler, ratio of ice, original ice temperature, type of ice (crushed, block, cube), ambient temperature, exposure to direct sunlight, etc. Therefore, we can't tell you exactly how long ice will last inside your Nutshell, but we can tell you it will last longer than it would have inside most plastic alternatives.

Nutshell Coolers insulation is made from upcycled coconut husk fibers, a natural material that offers the supernatural technical performance expected of top outdoor gear.

Where they can’t eliminate synthetics, we source upcycled and recycled textiles that complement our natural insulation. Nutshell’s water-repellent shell and leakproof liner are made with top-of-the-line materials.

They added a PFC-free durable water repellent (DWR) finish to our fabrics to help prevent stains and make cleaning your Nutshell a breeze.

Nutshell products are shipped in FSC-certified recycled cardboard packaging. All the information you need is printed directly on the box with water-based inks. No plastic, and no unnecessary inserts.
